PatLynk is an online platform operated by PatLynk SAS, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) registered in France. For more information, please refer to the legal notices available on the website [https://www.patlynk.com](https://www.patlynk.com.
Its objective is to facilitate the connection between patients, healthcare professionals, and clinical trials to improve access to medical innovations. PatLynk acts solely as an intermediary and plays no role in the selection of participants for clinical trials or in the medical evaluation of patients. PatLynk does not provide medical advice and in no case replaces a consultation with a healthcare professional.
2. ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS OF SERVICES
By accessing the platform and creating an account, the user acknowledges that they have read, understood, and unconditionally accepted these Terms of Use (terms of use).
- Minimum Age Requirement: The user must be of legal age to use the services of PatLynk.
- Representation of a Third Party: If a user represents a third party (e.g., a relative), they certify that they have the necessary legal authority to do so.
- Accuracy of Information Provided: The user confirms that the information provided on the platform is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge.
- Modification of terms of use: PatLynk reserves the right to modify these terms of use at any time. Continued use of PatLynk's services after explicit notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms of use.

4. SERVICES OFFERED BY PATLYNK
PatLynk offers a comprehensive range of services for patients, their relatives, and healthcare professionals:
4.1 Access with or without Creating an Account
Users can consult certain information and search for clinical trials without creating an account. To save data, apply for a clinical trial, or receive personalized recommendations, account creation is mandatory.
The user can request the permanent deletion of their account and personal data at any time by:
- Making a request directly from their account settings (if available).
- Sending an email to [email protected]) with the subject "Account Deletion".
- Account deletion will be effective within a maximum of 30 days, unless there is a legal obligation to retain the data. A confirmation of deletion will be sent to the email address associated with the account.
4.2 Search and Recommendation of Clinical Trials
- Consulting a Reliable Database: The referenced clinical trials come exclusively from ClinicalTrials.gov, CTIS, and the sponsors themselves for sponsored trials. The data is then cleaned and updated through third-party sources and defined business rules.
- Accuracy of Information: PatLynk cannot guarantee the absence of errors in this data. In case of an error, please contact [email protected].
- Access to Technical and Simplified Versions: Some information is simplified and may be translated and simplified using artificial intelligence models (LLM). PatLynk cannot be held responsible for any errors or incorrect interpretations. In case of doubt, please consult official sources or contact [email protected].
- Eligibility Prediction: In order to provide a simple service for users, PatLynk offers an eligibility score using machine learning and similarities between the data provided by the user and eligibility data for clinical trials.
- Clinical Trial Recommendations: Recommendations are based on criteria entered into the platform and do not guarantee final eligibility for a clinical trial.
4.3 Application for Clinical Trials
- Applying to Sponsored or Non-Sponsored Trials: Users can apply to a trial directly via the platform or obtain the necessary contacts to apply to external trials. If the trial is actively recruiting, PatLynk may share the user’s information with their explicit consent and connect the user with the team in charge.
- Post-Application Process (outside of PatLynk's responsibility):
- Notification of Non-Eligibility: If the trial rejects a candidate or if PatLynk is unable to contact the trial for reasons beyond its control, a notification will be sent by email to the applicant's contact address.
- Pre-Screening Appointment: An initial medical interview may be organized directly by the trial.
- Signing of Informed Consent: Before inclusion, the user must understand and accept the terms of the trial.
- Screening Phase: Medical tests and final verification of eligibility criteria.
- Potential Inclusion in the Trial.
This post-application process is indicative and outside the responsibility of PatLynk, varying by each clinical trial. It is important to note that the user may withdraw their application to a clinical trial at any time by submitting a request to [email protected], specifying the trial number concerned.
4.4 Blog and Informational Content
PatLynk offers a blog containing articles on clinical trials and medical advancements.
- Accuracy of Information: The content published on the blog is written carefully but is not guaranteed to always be exhaustive or up to date.
- Not a Substitute for Medical Advice: Articles should not be interpreted as medical advice under any circumstances.
4.5 Communication with Users
Users may be contacted by PatLynk for the following reasons:
- Clinical trials matching their profile.
- Information about new clinical trials.
- Feedback and improvements to PatLynk services.
- Updates to the terms of use and privacy policies.

5. RESPONSIBILITIES AND LIMITATIONS
- PatLynk does not provide medical advice and in no case replaces a consultation with a healthcare professional.
- PatLynk does not guarantee the accuracy of information provided by users or their admission to a clinical trial.
- No Guarantee of Service Continuity: The platform may be interrupted for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.
- Lawful Use Required: Users agree to use the service only in accordance with applicable laws. Any attempt at fraudulent use will result in immediate account suspension.
- Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances will PatLynk, its directors, or partners be held liable for data loss, service interruptions, medical decisions, or indirect damages related to the use of the platform.
- Force Majeure: PatLynk cannot be held responsible for failing to fulfill its obligations due to a force majeure event as defined by law.
6. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
PatLynk processes personal data and health-related data in full compliance with European and American regulations. These data are only transmitted to authorized third parties involved in a clinical trial application, and only with the explicit consent of the user. PatLynk implements appropriate security measures to protect users' personal data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. However, users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and passwords.
